Anupam Martins

Chief Executive Officer

Anupam Martins is the Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors of Excelligence Learning Corporation. Prior to joining Excelligence, Anupam worked at Procter & Gamble for ~20 years in a range of regional and global Marketing and General Management roles with assignments across five countries in Asia, Europe and North America, most recently as the CEO of an independent subsidiary company in Vermont.

Anupam has led Brand Building, Strategic Planning and P&L Responsibility across multiple brands, portfolios, geographies and organizations - from start-ups and joint ventures to billion-dollar brands like Vicks and Pampers. His business experiences span new business development, turnarounds, growth acceleration, and digital / Omni channel brand building, across developing and developed markets.

Anupam has a B. A. (Honors) in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, India and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. He is also actively involved in the non-profit K-12 school education sector in India in an honorary capacity.



Joseph Looney

Chief Financial Officer

Joseph Looney is the Chief Financial Officer of Excelligence. He joined the company from The Nature's Bounty Co., Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements, were he served as Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President-Finance from 2006 to 2018.

Prior to that, Joe served in several CFO positions, including at EVCI Career College Holding Corp., a post-secondary education provider; Astrex, Inc., a distributor of electronic components; and Manchester Technologies, Inc., a network integrator and reseller of computer products. Early in his career he was at the accounting firm of KPMG LLP.

Joe is a Certified Public Accountant and has a B.A. from Queens College, City University of New York and an M.S. from Long Island University. In addition, he has served as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Business Law at Hofstra University.

Robert Graman

Senior Vice President, Children's Factory, Excelligence Learning

Robert Graman joined Excelligence in May 2016 with the acquisition of Children's Factory, an industry leader in soft play products to the early childhood education market; Robert had been a part of Children's Factory since 2006. Currently Robert is the Senior Vice President Sales and Business Development for Children's Factory, Excelligence Learning. Previously Robert was the President of GHE Investments, Inc.

Robert received his B.S. from University of Missouri, Columbia in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. from Saint Louis University with an emphasis in Finance and Operations Research. Robert is on the Finance Sub-Committee for St Louis U High Imagining 18 - Strategic Planning

Ross North

President, Children's Factory, Excelligence Learning

Ross is the President of Children's Factory: a mainstay in learning spaces around the world with an extensive offering of Soft Play products, early-learning furniture, floor coverings, trikes, and multi-seat transportation. He joined Children�s Factory in 2021 to continue the over 125-year combined legacy their 3 brands offer.

Prior to joining Excelligence, Ross has been a leader in Operations and Engineering throughout his career in Fitness Equipment, Aerospace and Printing with a focus on growth, manufacturing, and customer experience.

He has a B.A in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. In addition, he serves on multiple local school committees and enjoys coaching youth sports.

Ron Phelan

Chief Executive Officer, Educational Products Inc

Ron Phelan is the Chief Executive Officer for Educational Products Inc (EPI) an industry standard in prepackaged and bulk school supply programs. Ron joined EPI in 1984 with a part time job, working his way up the ranks from Production Supervisor to Operations Manager all the way up to CEO.

Ron received his B.A. from the University of Texas in Finance and Management. Over the past 15 years Ron has spent his non-working hours being a mentor and coach for kids in all sporting activities.

Maria Taylor

President, ChildCare Education Institute, Excelligence Learning

Maria Taylor is the President of ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), a professional development company specializing in providing online training and certificates, child care registry development, and administrative solutions for the early care and education industry.

Maria is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of DirectoryNET, LLC., prior to her position as COO, Maria was the Senior Manager of National Accounts for ABC School Supply and served as Group Vice President for School Specialty, Inc.

Maria received her B.A from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University. Currently she is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) as well as a board member of the National Registry Alliance and a member of the Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA).

Lee Ramsayer

Chief Executive Officer, Frog Street

Lee Ramsayer is Chief Executive Officer of Frog Street a leading provider of comprehensive early childhood education solutions to public schools, Head Start programs and child care centers, with a focus on children from birth to age 5. He joined Frog Street from the fast growing startup Everly Health where he was Executive Vice President, Enterprise Sales.

Prior to that, Lee spent 8 years as Executive Vice President, Global Sales at the education solution provider Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, as part of the leadership team that transformed this leading education textbook publisher into a global education technology provider of core, supplemental, and intervention content.

He has a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science from Muskingum University, and has completed post graduate studies at the University of Virginia and Johns Hopkins University. Lee is actively involved in educational non-profits including Innovate Educate, and the First Tee Foundation.

Trey Thomas

Chief Legal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer Excelligence Learning

Trey Thomas is the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Excelligence Learning Corporation. He manages the company's legal affairs, as well as the human resources and risk management support functions.

Prior to joining Excelligence in August 2017, Trey was General Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources of a publicly-traded hospitality company with U.S. and Canadian operations and General Counsel of a national senior living company owned by global private equity firm Fortress Investment Group. Prior to his in-house counsel positions, Trey practiced law with some leading national and international law firms, including Seyfarth Shaw (Los Angeles Office).

He has B.S. in Finance from Clemson University and a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Oregon State Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. Trey is an active member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and American Bar Association.

Excelligence Learning Corporation is a leading developer, manufacturer, distributor, and multi-channel retailer of over 20,000 innovative, high-quality and grade-appropriate educational products and teaching solutions, which are sold primarily to early childhood learning centers, elementary schools, PTAs, and consumers.

Toros YeremyanPrincipal

Toros joined Brentwood in 2004. He is currently active in the corporate development efforts of Boston Proper, Excelligence Learning Corp., Soft Surroundings and Sundance Holding Company. Toros was also active in the corporate development efforts of Paper Source (until its sale in September 2013), Filson Holdings and Array Marketing Group, until the sale of these investments in 2012, and Chamilia until the full sale of Brentwood's investment in 2013.

Prior to joining Brentwood, Toros worked at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate finance in a wide variety of industries. He graduated cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles, where he received a bachelor's degree in business economics.

Ryan FoltzVice President

Ryan joined Brentwood in 2011. He is currently active in the corporate development efforts of Marshall Retail Group, Jefferson Dental Care, Pacific Catch and Z Gallerie.

Prior to joining Brentwood, Ryan spent three years at Swander Pace Capital, where he focused on private equity investing and portfolio company management in the consumer products industry. Prior to Swander Pace, Ryan spent two years as an Analyst at Harris Williams & Co. where he focused on mergers and acquisitions. He graduated from UC Berkeley where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business and a master's degree in education from the Graduate School of Education.

Chris ReekieVice President

Chris joined Brentwood in 2007. He is currently active in the corporate development efforts of Exhale Enterprises and The Teaching Company. Chris was also active in the corporate development efforts of Allen Edmonds, Boston Proper, Excelligence Learning Corp., K-Mac Holdings, Sundance Holding Company and ThreeSixty Group.

Prior to joining Brentwood, Chris worked at Credit Suisse First Boston where he focused on leveraged buyouts and general corporate finance in a wide variety of industries. He graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Stephanie SiuSenior Associate

Stephanie first joined Brentwood in 2011. She is currently active in the corporate development efforts of Jefferson Dental Care, Veggie Grill and Exhale Enterprises, and is supporting operational projects across the portfolio. She previously supported the corporate development efforts of Paper Source, Zo�s Kitchen (NYSE: ZOES), Sundance Holding Company, Soft Surroundings and Chamilia.

Prior to Brentwood, Stephanie spent two years as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate finance in the consumer and retail industries. Stephanie rejoined Brentwood in 2015, after earning her MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. She also has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Rachel PresserSenior Associate

Rachel joined Brentwood in 2016. She is currently active in the corporate development efforts of Boston Proper, J.McLaughlin., Soft Surroundings and Sundance Holding Company. Rachel was also active in the corporate development efforts and sale of Allen Edmonds.

Prior to joining Brentwood, Rachel worked at Pzena Investment Management where she focused on public equity investing in consumer retail and energy companies. Rachel also previously spent two years at Crestview Partners, where she focused on private equity investing and portfolio company management across a variety of industries, and two years as an Investment Banking Analyst at Barclays Capital, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate finance in the healthcare industry. Rachel received a bachelor's degree in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude, in 2008 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2014.

Peter EdelsonAssociate

Peter joined Brentwood in 2015. He is currently active in the corporate development efforts of Marshall Retail Group, Pacific Catch, SAXX Underwear and The Teaching Company.

Prior to joining Brentwood, Peter worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he focused on leveraged buyouts and general corporate finance across a variety of industries. He graduated from Harvard College, where he received a bachelor's degree in biology and a secondary in economics.

Elyas AndkhoyAssociate

Elyas joined Brentwood in 2016. He is currently active in the corporate development efforts of Lazy Dog Restaurants and The Teaching Company.

Prior to joining Brentwood, Elyas worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Financial Sponsors Group, where he focused on leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate finance across a variety of industries. Elyas received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Michael ChernauskasAssociate

Michael joined Brentwood in 2016. He is currently active in the corporate development efforts of Excelligence Learning Corp., Veggie Grill and Z Gallerie.

Prior to joining Brentwood, Michael worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he focused on debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate finance in the consumer and retail industries. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, where he received a bachelor's degree in finance.
